Robert Fischer is seeking to be elected to the Frederick City Board of Aldermen.
I asked Fisher about his feelings on Mayor O’Connors decision to extend the city emergency due to COVID-19, he says
I don't support any extensions of Emergency Orders without the correct science backing it up and legislative approval. It is being done for liberal partisanship in order to take advantage of the emergency to change the outcome of another election. It's blatant Marxist overreach.
When asked about his plans to stay engaged with city citizens if elected, he says
My door will always be open. I plan to make better use of the Neighborhood Advisory Council so there's better representation on the local level. I plan to push to elect Aldermen to districts instead of at-large so that they're closer to their constituents.
Fischer is scheduled to hold a campaign kickoff event on September 12, 2021 with Councilman Phil Dacey (R-At Large).
